Starting on Monday, 02/12/2018 the north front door procedures will change. The changes are outlined below.
North Front Door Procedures:
The glass doors to enter the building will be locked and closed after 7:30 am.
Students will not be able to enter the 2nd floor from the front, north stairwell (We will place signs on the doors).
After 7:30, ANYONE entering the building will be required to show an ID.
If a student enters the building without an ID, they will be asked to either leave and obtain an ID or they will be asked to purchase a new school ID at the attendance window.
Any parent or visitor will need to check-in with the office at the attendance window.
They will not enter the building unless absolutely necessary. A secretary will clear the visitor to enter the building. If it is determined by a school personnel that a visitor needs to enter the building, then the officer at the front door will provide a visitor pass and radio that we have a visitor entering the building.

New District Policy
The Board of Education adopted a new policy regarding student meal accounts, BOE Policy DP and EE. Due to these new policies, students will be required to maintain a positive meal account balance at all times. In our efforts to avoid having students received an alternative meal after reaching -$20 in meal charges, we are asking schools to take part in the process.
Beginning September 18th, the cafeteria manager at the building will run a report, each morning, of students who have greater than -$10 in meal charges. This report will be delivered to the office. The office will be responsible for placing a call to the household to alert them of this negative balance. This is also a good opportunity to ensure the household has submitted a meal application to Nutritional Services. If you are out of meal applications in the office, please ask the cafeteria manager and you can have more delivered. Households can then pay for meals either online, at www.kckps.org (mypaymentsplus.com), or in the school cafeteria before 10:00am.
Beginning October 2nd, the cafeteria manager will be printing notifications for students with greater than -$20 in meal charges, placing them in sealed envelopes with student names, and giving to the office for delivery to students. The notification will prompt the student to visit the cafeteria manager before going through the lunch line to receive an alternative meal.
Thank you for your support and cooperation as we partner to ensure that every student has access to a healthy meal!
