2018 Kansas City Swingers Golf Association Scholarship Program - April 7, 2018 (Multiple $1,000 scholarships)

The Kansas City Swingers, a federally recognized non-profit organization, strives to promote academic and social excellence among African-American high school students. The organization has a commitment to the youth in our community and has given, for the past several years, $1000.00 scholarships to graduating seniors.

We realize that one of the most significant challenges of preparing for college is the accumulation of funds. The KC Swingers are providing African-American high school graduates in the Kansas City metropolitan area an opportunity to apply for a one-time scholarship to assist them in their endeavors.

To apply for the scholarship, a student must:

  1. Be an African-American male or female
  2. Be a 2018 May or June high school graduate
  3. Provide a copy of acceptance/enrollment at an institution of higher learning
  4. Complete the application form (incomplete or late applications will not be considered)
  5. Complete a 500-word essay indicating why he/she should be selected
  6. Provide two recommendations from a school counselor, administrator, or teacher
  7. Provide a copy of their transcript

Applications should be received no later than April 7, 2018. Please, mail to:
